A leader, at their finest, is an alchemist of peer intuition and vision - one who sees the expertise of the room and encourages highlight and shadow to display the brilliance of the collective experience. In this careful curation, it is paramount to the work to create a community of acceptance and focus on underlining and encouraging each person’s unique background, identity, talent, and voice - to acknowledge that these are not only allowed, but needed to grow and evolve our community and, in turn, our society at large. Only when we are all committed to this kind of room can the art I want to see be made. The center of my passion rests in community and the freedom to fully explore oneself. We must invest deeply with curiosity and compassion to tell the truthful stories that ignite our inspiration, foster our hope, and progress our society.

I believe in trusting our audience and calling them to a higher level of introspection and critical thought. I believe in trusting playwrights to have a message that needs to be shared. I believe in trusting actors to connect with their intuition to interpret this message truthfully.
